PARKS
Lawson Park:
Home of Mattoon Bambino Leagues
Located on the southeast part of Mattoon, just off of Marshall Avenue on S. 13th St., Lawson Park was chosen to host the first ever 2000 Cal Ripken World Series August 19-27th. On July 6th, 1999 at a press conference held at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, the Babe Ruth League president announced the renaming of its youth baseball 12 and under division from the Bambino Division to the Cal Ripken Baseball Division. Lawson Park also had the honor of hosting the first ever 11-12 Year Old Bambino World Series, August 14-21, 1999. This tournament marked the 30th anniversary of Mattoon hosting our first Babe Ruth World Series.

Peterson Park:
Located on the northeast side of Mattoon at 500 Broadway, Peterson Park is just one block north of Route 16. Grimes Field was the home to the 1969 Babe Ruth World Series for 15 year olds. This was followed up with a Tournament of Champions for 16-18 year olds in 1974. Peterson Park is the new home to the Bagelfest, which is held the 4th full weekend in July.

Little Kinzel Park:
Located in the southwest part of Mattoon at 28th and Marion.

Vanlaningham Park:
Located in the northwest part of Mattoon at the end of north 29th/30th Street.

Cunningham Park:
Located in the north central part of Mattoon at 12th and Champaign.

Grimes Field:
Located at Peterson Park, 500 Broadway

Graham Field:
Located at Lawson Park
Complex
Mattoon Junior Baseball League (Boys Complex):

Mattoon Girls Softball 

Parents can register players online this year. There is a $3.00 processing fee. Just go to www.mattoonsoftball.com for instructions, etc.

We will be at the Mall on Saturday, March 8 10 a.m. To 2 p.m. and on March 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. And at MHS softball home games before April 2.

Please find attached a registration form in a pdf format. We will also accept them by mail.
